7.9. Safety requirements for glass work
Individuals who are at least 18 years old who have undergone a medical examination, special training, instruction in occupational safety at work and who have mastered safe methods and methods of performing work are allowed to perform glassworks independently.
The following dangerous and harmful production factors may affect the worker:
o insufficient illumination of the work area;
o direct and reflected glitter;
o sharp edges, burrs and roughness on the surfaces of blanks, tools and equipment;
o falling, falling objects
o location of the workplace at a significant height relative to the ground (floor) surface.
Work should be performed on good equipment, use serviceable tools, devices and only for their intended purpose. The employee must be provided with special clothing, footwear and other personal protective equipment in accordance with established standards. Before performing work at a height (more than 1.3 m from the surface of the ground, floor, flooring, floor), it is necessary to check the serviceability of portable staircases, scaffolding, scaffolding and other devices for working at height. All faults must be reported to the direct supervisor and not to be started before they are eliminated.
The worker is obliged to put on the gloves when carrying glass, cleaning the waste and fighting glass, to carry the glass in an upright position, on the side of himself, with one hand from the bottom and the other from above. Large-sized glass should be removed from the box, transported and delivered to the installation site with a wooden pallet frame made to the size of the glass. When handling glass with an abrasive tool, wear protective goggles, a respirator and rubber gloves.

7.10. Safety requirements for roofing work
The production of roofing and waterproofing works should be safe at all stages: preparation of the surface of the substrate - drying, leveling and dedusting; submission of materials to the workplace; application of mastics and gluing of roll materials; cooking mastic at the construction site. It is prohibited to use roll and mastic materials that do not meet the requirements of standards or technical conditions, as well as materials made according to standards or technical conditions in which there are no explosive and fire hazard indicators. In the course of the work, measures should be envisaged to prevent the working dangerous and harmful production factors that affect workers:
o location of the workplace at height and in the danger zone;
o moving parts of production equipment;
o dangerous voltage value in the electrical circuit of the equipment;
o increased temperature of the materials used;
o Gaseous and dusty air in the work area;
o fire and explosion hazard of used rolled and mastic materials, diluents, solvents;
o insufficient illumination of the working area;
o noise and vibration.
Safety of production of roofing and waterproofing works should be provided:
o compliance with technology (technological sequence) of work;
o the correct organization of workplaces and labor of performers;
o placement of production equipment, machines and mechanisms in accordance with established requirements;
o using safe methods of transporting materials to workplaces;
o using means of individual and collective protection of workers, as well as overalls and special footwear;
o training in safe working methods;
o compliance with fire safety requirements;
o overseeing compliance with security requirements.
Work on the construction of roofs and waterproofing should be carried out in a complex manner, with the use of means of mechanization.
Work performed at a distance of less than 2 m from the edge of the difference, equal in height to 1.3 m or more, should be performed after the installation of temporary or permanent protective fences. In the absence of these fences, work should be carried out using a safety belt. To pass through the coating, not calculated for the load from the workers, ladders with a width of at least 0.3 m with cross struts for the foot rest should be used. Traps at the time of work must be secured. For the duration of the work, it is necessary to allocate areas of work around which the boundaries of the danger zone, signal fence, safety signs and inscriptions must be established. Performance of roofing works during ice, fog, which excludes the visibility within the front of work, thunder and wind at a speed of 15 m/s and more are not allowed.
In the manufacture of work inside buildings, chambers or tanks using solvents, diluents forming explosive mixtures, the combination of waterproofing and fireworks is not allowed. In special cases, when coordinated with the fire supervision authorities, it is allowed to prepare mastics using equipment placed directly on the coating (overlapping), in accordance with the design of the work, developed or agreed by the design organization. Mastics produced at the construction site or delivered centrally should comply with the requirements of state standards, technical conditions, industry standards or enterprise standards.
Bitumen smelting facilities located in pits should be equipped with devices for forced feeding and organized removal of fuel combustion products from the excavation to a height of at least 2.5 m above the surrounding pits. Bitumen smelting installations, stock bitumen pipelines for the supply of compositions should be located on a solid foundation, which excludes their drawdown. Devices for drying the base, melting the fused roofing material must have protective screens, which exclude the effect of the infrared radiation of the burners on the vision organs. Machines and mechanisms, the operation of which is accompanied by excessive heat generation in the working feet of workers, should be equipped with heat shields of a height not less than 500 mm. Bitumen smelting installations should be equipped with torches with a handle length of at least 700 mm. Bitumen smelting facilities should have awnings and inventory fencing made of non-combustible materials, as well as fire extinguishing kits.
Places for the production of roofing works must be provided with at least two evacuation exits (stairs), telephone or other communications, and also primary firefighting means.
Premises for storage of mastics, diluents, solvents must be separate, made of non-combustible materials and equipped with a forced ventilation system.
Places for storing ruberoid should be removed from buildings and structures under construction at a distance of not less than 24 m. The organization of workplaces must take into account the features of the technological process, the safety of servicing mechanization facilities, the minimum use of manual labor, the safe evacuation of workers in the event of an emergency and exclude the presence at workplaces of persons not participating in the work process.
Elements and parts of roofs should be fed to the workplace in containers. The manufacture of these elements and parts directly on the roof is not allowed. The use of bituminous mastics with a temperature above 180 ° C in the workplace is not allowed. When performing roofing works by several links, the distance between them must be at least 10 m, and applying hot mastic to the substrate should not exceed the bonding of the roofing material by more than 1 m. The work of one link above the other vertically is prohibited. In the workplace, when using materials that emit explosive substances, it is prohibited to use open flame or actions that cause sparking; the stock of materials containing harmful, flammable and explosive substances should not exceed the replacement requirement. The storage of materials should be provided for by the project of production. Transportation of materials to workplaces must be mechanized. Mutually reacting substances must be transported and stored separately. Transport flammable and inflammable materials in a closed container. Storage and transfer of materials in a tamped container is prohibited. Containers containing mastics, diluents, solvents, fillers, should be provided with labels with the exact designation and name of the materials. Centralized delivery of mastic to the object should be carried out in auto-burners. When transporting and storing the mastic should be protected from moisture and direct sunlight. Pipelines and hoses, through which the supply of mastic to the work sites, at the end of the shift should be washed with solvents, which must be poured into a special container. All employees must undergo periodic medical examinations.
When changing the technology of work, replacing materials, equipment, changing the organization and working conditions, as well as in the event of violation of safety requirements, all employees must undergo an unscheduled briefing with a record in the journal of registration of the knowledge of safety workers with the mandatory signature of the instructed and instructing.
Workers should be provided with personal protective equipment, overalls and collective protection equipment.
