The account of redistribution of incomes in kind - Socio-economic statistics

The account of redistribution of incomes in kind

In accordance with the content of transactions reflected in this account, transfer operations in the resident economy associated with the redistribution of income based on social transfers in kind are limited to the interrelationships only of a part of its sectors, including the sector of state institutions, households and NGOs servicing households. The first two sectors are considered as sources, and the household sector - as the recipient of such transfers. Therefore, the construction of equations for the calculation of the relevant balance sheet in this account is meaningful only for these groups of sectors, since this type of transactions does not apply to the sector of non-financial and financial corporations and does not affect the formation of general economic indicators. A conditional example of calculations is given in Table. 4.16.

In general, calculations of balancing indicators for this account are carried out on the basis of the equation

SRD = RD + STPP - STYLE,

where the SRS is the adjusted disposable income; STNP - social transfers in kind received; STNV - social transfers in kind paid.

As part of this indicator, the SNA allocates elements such as social benefits in kind and transfers in the form of individual non-market goods and services.

For example, for the government sector sector , the calculation of the corresponding balancing indicators, modified depending on the basis of valuation (gross or net) used, is based on the following equations:

SVRDgu = BPDyu - STNVgu = 72 - 24 = 48;

SSHRD = RTD - STNVGU = 66 - 24 = 42,
