The autotext name can contain up to 32 characters, including spaces, although it's more convenient if the autotext name contains one or two characters. To insert an AutoText entry in the document, you must print its name and, without typing spaces, press F3. You can also select the Text category from the Insert tab, then use the Express Blocks command - the AutoText item, and it will be added to the document.

When using the AutoText function, you must remember that by default, AutoText entries are available to all documents. When creating an autotext element, you can specify that the item will be available only to a specific template (you need to use the Templates list box for this). You can print AutoText entries using the Print command from the File menu, in the Print All Pages ... list, select the AutoText Element item.

Using AutoCorrect and AutoFormat

The program for Word for Windows can, using the AutoCorrect tool, correct user errors, which it often allows when typing. In the AutoCorrect dialog box that appears when you select the AutoCorrect tab from the File - Options - Spelling - AutoCorrect settings, you can specify standard AutoCorrect entries, for example: Capitalize first letters of the quotation.
