Word interface, version 2010

The interface of the program, like any application Microsoft Office , includes the Document View and Area document management.

A very important point in understanding the work with documents is the location of the File menu. This menu, unlike all the others, is located vertically. It contains commands for managing the text file itself, not the text inside it. This is the so-called View Microsoft Office Backstage . <h2> Setting up Word for Windows </h2>
<p> <strong> Customize the Quick Access Toolbar. </strong> The Quick Access Toolbar is usually at the top of the program. </p>

<p> By default, there are only three buttons: Save, Undo and Redo. The panel can be a convenient tool for quickly managing work in the <i> <strong> Word program. </Strong> </i> The Quick Access Toolbar can be edited - add new commands (buttons) to it or remove redundant commands from it. </p>

<p> Add new buttons and options to this panel. To do this, we click once with the left mouse button (further - 1 × L) on the drop-down list of this panel (on the right). If you need any more buttons, choose the menu item Other commands. Select the category of commands in the Select a command field from (we are interested in the File category), in the lower window select the commands Create and Parameters, click on the Add button - OK. </p>

<p> <strong> Set up the main ribbon menu. </strong> Under the Quick Access Toolbar is the main MENU of the program, which is made in the form of a tape. <p> <strong> Setup Status bars. </strong> The status bar is located at the bottom of the screen and contains help information. On the status bar, you can select the following categories: Statusbar bar (on the left), View panel and Navigation bar. The <i> <strong> Status bar pane </strong> </i> contains help information about the number of pages, lines, words in the document. And, if you double-click the left mouse button (further - 2 x L), the Find and replace dialog is called by the Page element. If (2 × L) is clicked on the Number of rows, the Statistics dialog box is called, if there is a selection, the number of words in it is indicated. </p>

<p> The buttons on the <i> <strong> Viewports </strong> </i> on the right side of the status bar allow you to select the mode of working with the document. On <i> <strong> Dashboard </strong> </i>, moving the slider changes the scale of the document. If (2 x L) but the Scale value, then the Scale menu dialog is called up. </p>

<p> If you right-click (1-by-1) on the <i> <strong> Status Bar, </strong> </i>, a context-sensitive menu opens. This tool is used to configure the contents of the status bar. Note that the Options command is also located in the File submenu. This command is extremely important, since almost all the main settings of the word processor <i> <strong> Word </strong> </i> versions of 2010 are now located in the File - Options menu. </p>
