Ethics and professional behavior

Ethics and professional behavior are an important part of criminal justice supervision.

Ethics is known as what's right or wrong and your moral principles. Unlawful justice administration are faced with moral issues every day and must deal with this moral issues in a specialist manner. The administration in criminal justice especially the policing supervision struggle with ethics and professional patterns in certain situations and may find it difficult to handle. The criminal justice administration gets the obligation of making moral judgments of what's right or incorrect and must be done professionally and by using critical thinking. This newspaper will analyze the partnership between ethics and professional habit and the role critical thinking takes on in the partnership of ethics and professional patterns. Because police plays a large role in ethics and professional behavior I will propose a training seminar for law enforcement.

Not only will be the repercussions of unethical acts by unlawful justice pros quite serious, but there's also many choices for conflicts to arise in the region of unlawful justice, which can result in unethical decisions and behaviours (Ozyasar, n. d. ). Unlawful justice supervision is the influence in culture and ethics and professional behavior must be applied all the time. When legal justice administration is unethical and lacks professional action society loses faith in the criminal justice system. Good ethics bring on professional action. Ethics and professional action are related because they both need each other. Without ethics there would not be professional tendencies and professional tendencies would not can be found without ethics. Police plays a huge part in unlawful justice administration. Police officers will need to have good ethics and use professional tendencies all the time. Society talks about police officers as the ones who protect and provide. Ethics are important in police and usually good ethics brings on professional action from law enforcement as well as other administrations in legal justice. Unethical behavior by the legal justice system harms contemporary society weakening our values in them. Associates of the criminal justice system make extremely critical decisions every day and their selections have a deep effect on our lives (Ozyasar, n. d. ). Critical thinking plays an important role in regards to to ethics and professional patterns. In order for the unlawful justice administration to make use of good ethics and professional tendencies they need to think critically. Police, courts, and corrections count on critical thinking to make good decisions. Law enforcement must use critical thinking to determine if a laws has been broken, how to reply, so when to make an arrest (Ozyasar, n. d. ). When police feels critically this will bring out good ethics and professional action. When police does not first think critically they react to quickly without first thinking about ethics and acting in a professional manner and may arrest the incorrect person and let the real legal go. The courts also rely on critical thinking to oversee legal proceedings and determine your final decision on the case (Ozyasar, n. d. ). Prosecution and security lawyers as well count on critical thinking in organizing and arguing for or against the accused party (ozyasar, n. d. ). Without critical pondering the courts may have a difficult time determining if the accused in simple fact really committed the crime. The court system administration takes in a lot of information and must first think critically before making a decision. Critical thinking must come first in order for the court system to act ethically and in a professional manner. Corrections and parole officials count on critical thinking to evaluate the progress of individuals, sponsor reductions in phrases and maintain order within prison facilities (Ozyasar, n. d. ). Corrections and parole officers are faced with dangerous situations often and need to think critically to be able to cope with the situation ethically and appropriately. Criminal justice supervision individuals all have their own ethics and action. Although sometimes everyone has different ethics they need to set aside their values and make the right decision irrespective of their thoughts in the problem. Good moral and professional tendencies is important in criminal justice administration and in order for this to occur critical thinking is necessary.

Law enforcement is confronted with honest dilemmas every day and it is important that they deals with these situations by first thinking critically so that they can do their job ethically and appropriately. Personally i think that law enforcement needs ethical training because they deal with so many different situations and how they react to these situations need to be done ethically and with professional action. Ethics training for law enforcement helps these to readily discover an honest problem or dilemma, identify various options to address the particular concern included, make a rational and ethically sound choice of which option to choose, take prompt action based after that choice, and admit responsibility for the results (Gleason, 2006). The seminar would stress some particular areas of ethical carry out that Personally i think are important. The first part of ethical conduct would be law enforcement using their expert ethically and skillfully. I choose this particular area because it is very common for cops to use their specialist to extreme. Certain situations can cause law enforcement to act without thinking and they throw their ethics and professional patterns aside. Training police to control their authority will help them uphold a good reputation for themselves as well as the company and give the city beliefs in the officer and not hesitate of that officer or any officer in the firm.

Another area of ethical behavior that might be stressed is police performing their responsibilities without the affect of an person's intimacy or color. Irrespective of a criminal's competition or sex law enforcement should treat them as they might anyone else. Using situations a police officer needs to put their judgment apart and treat the person ethically and in a professional manner. Training the official in this field will help them treat everyone equally and the community will feel just like they have got an unbiased law enforcement agency. Another section of ethics would be police should treat their fellow employees and the city with respect. Police should react ethically towards everyone and uphold professional action at all times. Training officers to do this helps them to be always a role model for his or her company as well as the community. Another region of ethical behavior I feel that needs to be stressed in the seminar would be that under any circumstances should law enforcement except gifts or bribes from anyone locally or in the organization. It would be unethical and unprofessional for just about any officer.

In the seminar I'd also stressed the value of honesty by law enforcement. Integrity would contain withholding facts would be immoral and unprofessional. Our neighborhoods need to believe that they can trust our law enforcement and feel safe. Police effectiveness depends after community esteem and self confidence (FDLE, n. d. ). Therefore law enforcement must be proficient in ethical conduct and be professional at all times. Police officers are held to an increased standard of action by society, because they are stewards of the general public trust and are empowered to apply make and remove constitutional privileges when lawfully justified. They take an oath of office, are anticipated to adhere to professional code of ethics, and are at the mercy of various laws, guidelines, and regulations (Gleason, 2006). Therefore Personally i think that my proposal for ethics training for police is necessary as a result of prospects and requirements that police must uphold professional action and code of ethics. For our criminal justice administration to operate properly an obvious understanding of ethics and professional patterns is needed. Due to the electric power and prestige and as a result of nature of problems they need to deal with, the participants of the unlawful justice system often face serious issues and need a guiding light, which is just what a code of ethics provides (Ozyasar, n. d. ). For the unlawful justice administration to display good ethics and professional patterns they must first think critically. The decisions that the unlawful justice supervision make are critical plus they must first have to think about their decision and act ethically and with professional tendencies. Police is confronted with many dilemmas that want these to make critical decisions and must make these decisions ethically. Law enforcement training in ethical conduct can help officers do their careers expertly and show the community they may be doing their jobs ethically and with professional habit. Ethics, professional action, and critical thinking are the most crucial roles in our criminal justice supervision.
