The main objects of investment - Investments

Main Investment Objects

In the European Community, not belonging to the winemaking, the wines are divided into two categories:

• high-quality, produced in the established region (AOS), which are actually the subject of collecting or investment;

• inexpensive dining rooms (V.d.T.) - for mass consumption.

Leading wine-producing countries have their own classification - in each country their own. In Table. 7.4 provides a classification of the wines of leading European manufacturers.

More details can be considered on the example of France, where the most complex system for assessing the quality and origin of wine operates. Lower step - table wines (Vin de Table). They are the cheapest and the easiest (up to six euros per bottle) and can be made both from grapes of one grade, and from a mixture of varieties. Next to them - local wines (Vin de Pays). They are produced in certain regions, the price ranges from 6 to 8 euros per bottle. Even more expensive are delimited wines of the highest quality (Vin Delimite de Qualite Superieure). Such wine is produced in a limited territory, and the technology of its production is monitored very strictly. Only certain grape varieties that are grown in a particular winemaking economy are used - "shato" (chateau - castle ). At the same time, there is no restriction on the volume of output of such wine - this is indicated by the term delimited & quot ;. And the price for wine of this category depending on the wine region and the supplier is from 9 to 11 euros per bottle.

The highest level is the highest category wines, the so-called wine-controlled wines (Appellation d'Origine Controlee). It is them that collectors buy and regard as an object of investment. The price range of such wines is quite wide: the most common varieties of wine are relatively inexpensive - from 11 euros per bottle. But the upper limit of prices for wines of this quality does not exist. Repeatedly, there were cases when the price of particularly famous brands of wine reached several hundred, and often thousands of euros per bottle. Requirements for manufacturing controlled by origin wines are very tough. In particular, even if the grapes harvest was abundant, production is still prohibited in quantities exceeding the established limits.

Especially valuable collectors great wines Bordeaux, maintaining their reputation since 1855: Chateau Latonr, Chateau Lafite Rothschild, Chateau Mouton-Rothschild, Chateau Haut Brion and Chateau Margaux. The next most popular among collectors are wines from Burgundy. The best producers here are Domaine de la Romance Conti, Ramonet, Leroy and Fairelrv. Recently, Italian wines have also become very popular, especially in the categories such as Super Tuscan, Barolo and Brunello di Montalcino.
