I described a paper titled "The continuing future of Food: Seed products of Resilience" shared by "Global Alliance for future years of Food" in Sept 2016. The publication for focused on several aspects of increasing the agro industry.

Global Alliance believes that diverse and powerful seed systems are central to ecological food systems that are alternative, healthy and interconnected. They understand the urgency for supporting farmer supervised seed systems to be able to improve seed diversity.

Bettina Haussmann, who works across Mali, Burkina Faso, and Niger with the Collaborative Crop Research Program, talks about women's important role in agricultural biodiversity and the link to nourishment: "Working specifically with women farmers to cultivate and keep maintaining local crop and varietal variety could be a chance to (re-) link agriculture with nutrition, to improve eating diversity in rural family members also to achieve desired nutritional results and the reduction of malnutrition and invisible hunger. "

Bettina Haussmann discuss about the link between daily value of agricultural biodiversity and its own preservation: "By valuing specific plants and varieties as healthy food choices and possibly creating a local value string and local markets, farmers can be urged to include these vegetation and varieties with their existing profile, for bettering family diet and also for income generation purposes. "

In a way, there is absolutely no 'best way' to protect and reinforce community based mostly seed systems-there are ways which are appropriate or not with regards to the situation.

I would like to conclude the info gained through the publication by discussing the theory that emerges from the compendium, building up agricultural biodiversity requires action at the neighborhood, regional, nationwide and international levels. The earnestness is clear. Horticultural biodiversity is the main element to the eventual fate of food and our world. The contributors raise upon the importance of assisting group based seed system, and suggest that contributors, governments, experts, and common modern culture associations change their needs to this purpose.
