Planning (P) - Supply Chain Management

Planning (P)

This includes the processes associated with defining requirements and corrective actions to achieve the objectives of the supply chain (Table 2.4).

P1: Supply Chain Plan is the development and establishment of action plans for specific time periods that represent the planned allocation of supply chain resources to meet its requirements for a long period of time.

P2: Supply Plan is the development and establishment of action plans for specific time periods that determine the order of allocation of material resources to meet the requirements of the supply chain.

P3: Production plan is the development and establishment of action plans for specific time periods that determine the order of allocation of production resources to meet production requirements.

P4: Supply Plan is the development and establishment of action plans for specific time periods that determine how resources are allocated to meet delivery requirements.

P5: Returns Plan is a strategic or tactical process for creating and configuring activities or tasks for specified time periods that represent the correlation of the projected returnable resources and assets to meet the foreseen and unforeseen return requirements. Includes an unplanned return of items already sold, as well as planned returns of the returned products that have been redesigned for a new release for sale.

EP: Provision of planning - a set of processes related to the management and verification of data, indicators and linkages to supply chain process plans.
