Text statement

Read the text of the document, guided by the following rules.

The full name of the product on the title page, in the title block and on the first mention in the text of the document must correspond to its name in the main design document (for example, "Worm Reducer").

In the following text, the order of words in the name should be direct, that is, the definition (adjective) leads to the first place, and then the noun (for example, the worm reducer is disassembled ...).

The text should be short and clear, the terminology and definitions should correspond to the terms established by the standards, and in their absence - generally accepted in the scientific and technical literature.

The text should be read without using pronouns. For example: ... find ..., ... define ... & quot ;, or in an impersonal form.

The reduction of words in the text and under illustrations is not allowed, except for the abbreviations established by GOST 2.004-88, GOST 2.316-68, GOST 7.11-78, GOST 7.12- 77 and spelling rules.

Conditional alphabetic and graphic designations.

Mathematical Signs

The conventional letters of mechanical, mathematical and other magnitudes, as well as the conditional graphic symbols and mathematical signs used in the project documents, must comply with the established standards.

For symbols, it is preferable to use uppercase and lowercase letters of the Latin and Greek alphabets.

As a rule, the initial letters of the English name of the corresponding quantity are taken (Table 2.4).

In addition to the main character, the standards result in a spare symbol. The latter is recommended to use in cases where the use of the main character is undesirable because of the possible designation of different values ​​by the same symbol.

In the text before the designation of a parameter, you should give its explanation, for example, "durability b>.

To establish differences between varieties of the same value, denoted by the same symbol, use indices, which also use the letters of the Latin and Greek alphabets. These letters are chosen in most cases according to the above rule; for example: the designation of the frictional force -/y, the axial force -, the radial force - Г г , the circumferential force -.

Arabic (predominantly) and Roman numerals should be used to indicate the ordinal numbers of the values.

Standardized units of physical quantities, their names in accordance with GOST 8.417-81, should be used. Units of the same value within the document must be constant. You should use the units 5/.

The text of the document, except for formulas, tables and figures, is not allowed:

• reduce the notation of physical quantities if they are used without numbers;

• apply the mathematical sign "minus" (-) before negative values ​​of the values ​​(the word "minus" should be written);

• apply the 0 to denote the diameter (the word "diameter" should be written);

• apply without mathematical values ​​the mathematical signs & lt ;, & lt ;, & gt ;, & gt ;, & lt ;, /, x, /, -, =, and also the signs # (number),% (percentage), ° (degree), '(minute), (second); when using characters without a combination with a number in the digital form, they should be replaced with words;

• apply indices of standards, specifications and other documents without

registration number.
