Communicative Communication Styles

The nature and content of the interaction of participants in the educational process also depends on the speech communication tools, which form an essential logical and semantic line in communication. It is known that the main characteristic of the verbal image, which determines the style of interaction, is the brevity and simplicity of the construction of the phrase, the speech structure, the use of everyday or professional colloquial vocabulary, peculiar speech cliches, templates and stamps.

In professional speech communication, as a rule, the following styles of communicative interaction are used: formal-business, scientific, journalistic, colloquial-that positively or negatively affect educational effectiveness.

Official-business style of interaction

The official-business style of interaction is conditioned by the practical requirements of life and professional activity. It serves the sphere of legal, managerial, social relations and is implemented both in written form (business correspondence, normative acts, clerical work, etc.) and verbally (report at the meeting, speech at the business meeting, service dialogue, conversation, negotiations) form .

There are three sub-styles in the formal business style:

1) Legislative;

2) Diplomatic;

3) administrative and clerical.

Each of the listed substructures has its own specifics, communicative forms, speech clichés. So, the law, article, paragraph, normative act, prescription, subpoena, decree, code are used in the legislative sub-structure; a memorandum, a note, a communiqué in diplomatic communication; a receipt, a memo, a power of attorney, an order, an order, a statement, a characteristic, an extract from the protocol - in the administrative-clerical sub-structure.

Business style requires the utmost accuracy of speech, which is achieved primarily by the use of terms, both widespread and highly specialized. The terms most often refer to:

1) the name of the documents (resolution, request, contract, act, etc.);

2) the name of persons but the profession, the state, the function performed, the social position (teacher, judge, psychologist, accountant, etc.);

3) procedural actions (for example, to carry out expertise, attestation, make an assessment or perform some professional activities, in particular to inform, prepare a report, write a certificate, etc.).

Business style requires the objectivity of information. In documents, the expression of the subjective opinion of the person making up the text, the use of emotionally colored vocabulary, vulgarisms is unacceptable. This style is characterized by compactness of presentation, brevity, economical use of language tools. ( briefly and clearly.) It is known that according to psychological research, half of adults can not catch meaning of the spoken phrase containing more than 13 words. In addition, if the phrase lasts without a pause for more than six seconds, the thread of understanding breaks. The phrase, numbering over 30 words, is not heard at all.

The official sphere of communication, repetitive standard situations, a clearly limited thematic circle of business speech is determined by its standardization, which manifests itself not only in the choice of language facilities, but also in standard forms of documents . In the latter, conventional forms of presentation and a certain arrangement of structural-compositional parts are obligatory: introductory, descriptive, regulative and summarizing.

Business style is the most common in the daily practice of formal interaction. The more participants of communication follow this style, the more mutual understanding and trust between them.
