Graphical method

For the researcher of psychological and pedagogical processes in the group, the graphic method is a great opportunity for analyzing the intracollective (intragroup) structure of the relationship. The graphic representation of the team's connections, established on the basis of choice, is called sociogram. The sociogram is also built on the results of the survey, entered in the sociomatrix, and is its graphic representation.

Sociogram - a graphical representation of the reaction of the subjects against each other when answering a sociometric criterion. The sociogram makes it possible to make a comparative analysis of the structure of relationships in a group in space on a certain plane ("shield") by means of special signs. It gives a visual representation of the intra-group differentiation of the members of the group by their status (popularity). An example of a sociogram (a map of group differentiation) proposed by Ya.P. Kolominsky is presented below (Figure 5.1).

positive one-sided choice, positive mutual choice, negative one-sided choice, negative mutual choice.

According to experts, sociogram technique is an essential addition to the tabular approach in the analysis of sociometric material, because it allows for a deeper qualitative description and visual representation of group phenomena.

The analysis of the sociogram consists in finding the central, most influential members, then mutual pairs and groupings. Groupings are made up of interrelated individuals who want to choose each other. Most often in sociometric measurements, there are positive groupings of two, three members, less often of four or more.

Polar Profile Method

In order to study the assessments that team members give to each other in the course of teamwork, the method of polar profiles is used for collective decision making. The analysis of the nature of these assessments makes it possible to diagnose the business and psychological characteristics of managers and subordinates. It is known that the same person in different groups can be evaluated in different ways. The practice of carrying out research has shown that the higher the evaluation of employees of each other and their leaders, and the more individual assessments coincide with the group ones, the higher the moral and psychological unity of the OS team. Assessments can be used to psychologically test the business and psychological qualities of team members.

The evaluation procedure consists of filling in a special card, one of the variants of which is given below.

A score of 5 to 1 measures the degree of manifestation of quality. For example, in assessing the performance, 5 means very business; 4 - business; 3 - the average score; 2 - non-business; 1 - completely non-business.

When questionnaires are collected, it is necessary to compile a matrix for each quality or for a group of characteristics (business, hardworking, communicative, etc.), then calculate the average scores for the group evaluation of each member of the group and, conversely, the assessments of each member given to the other participants of the survey. Possible introduction of self-esteem. A sample of the matrix filling is given below.

The average score is calculated using the formula

where - the sum of the estimates; n - number of ratings.

On the basis of average ratings, one can clearly visualize the opinion of the collective about each of its members and the opinion of each about the team.
