Paradigm analysis of pedagogical reality. - Multicultural education

Paradigm analysis of pedagogical reality.

The model of the stages of the multicultural educational process does not allow explaining the reasons for the really obtained positive or unexpected negative educational effects. The ego is due to the fact that this model takes into account the peculiarities of the worldview of the subjects of the educational process: teachers, parents and students. The solution of this problem was proposed in the theory of paradigm analysis of pedagogical reality.

A paradigm is a "system of theoretical, methodological and axiological attitudes taken as a model for solving scientific problems and shared by all members of the scientific community". Under the pedagogical paradigm here, IA Kolesnikova is understood as "the characteristics of the typological features and semantic boundaries of the existence of the subject of pedagogical activity in the space of professional life". The education paradigm - is a definite holistic system of views on the educational process, the child, the educator, their role and interaction. According to this, pedagogical reality can be understood in a fundamentally different way as objective (in the technocratic paradigm), as subjective (in the humanitarian paradigm) or as a transcendental (in the paradigm of tradition).

In the technocratic paradigm the essence of human education is defined as the acquisition of scientific knowledge, the educational process as a step-by-step, guided movement of the student from ignorance to knowledge as the object of pedagogical influence. In the paradigm of tradition the essence of a person's education is defined as becoming a member of an ethnic, religious or other tradition, the educational process - as a person's movement towards harmony with the eternal and immutable world, enlightenment and illumination. In the humanitarian paradigm , the essence of education will be defined as the self-building of the individual, the self-formation of the multi-sense worldview of man, the educational process - as the creation of a cultural and educational space for the self-development of one's own talents and abilities, for self-determination and self-realization, and also pedagogical support in cases of "slips" on the path of self-construction.

Subjects of education can consciously or unconsciously stand on one of the above paradigms. In educational institutions simultaneously there are apologists of technocratic or humanitarian paradigms, and also, especially among parents and children of primary school age, those who understand education in the paradigm of traditions. The basic process of multicultural education should be built in parallel in the three worldview paradigms: technocratic, transcendent and humanitarian.

The differences in the elements of the pedagogical system from the standpoint of the paradigmatic approach are presented in Table. 2.1.
