Save time

Time in our time has become not only time, but time time. How to reach the optimal time in eDuculation? Notice, not the minimum, which in principle is impossible, but the optimal ones, so that there is no lack of time and there is no overspending. To allow time to be allocated just as much as necessary for full-fledged assimilation in accordance with the laws of brain activity. The solution to this problem is of great practical importance.

We also add that the work tends to occupy all the time allotted to it. How many take, so much to spend. We will take 15 years to secondary school, and I assure you, there will be more than to fill these years.

So how much time does the student need to study the material of a given amount (volume) and quality (difficulty, complexity) in order to achieve the maximum (in the given conditions) training indicator? The answer to this question was obtained in the author's studies of this textbook in the 1970s-1980s. The hypothesis was confirmed: in a one-time act of education productivity increases with increasing learning time, but not unlimitedly, but only up to a certain limit, after which the increase in time does not lead to better results (rice 22).

In other words, there is some optimal learning time (Top). To fix this limit means to avoid unnecessary costs, over-expenditure of time. It is impossible to admit, when time goes on, and the results do not grow any more.

To establish the dependence, it is necessary to know the characteristics of the educational material, primarily its quantity and quality, the trainee's characteristics, and time. The amount of training material was measured in ISET; the difficulty (subjective characteristic) and the complexity of the text (objective characteristic) - in special units, as well as the learning ability of schoolchildren, for determining which the rate of progress in learning was used (see below).

Dependence of the productivity of the eduction on time

Fig. 22. Dependence of the productivity of education on time

The so-called minimum required time (hereinafter - EOM) is investigated and introduced. The EOM is the time required for one-time (one-time) text reading, i.e. working out the text only once. It is clear that under the conditions of the EOM one can not achieve complete assimilation of information. It is established that after a one-time reading of the text, the digestion index reaches 20-25% on average. Schoolchildren with high rates of memory and learning ability achieve a learning achievement of 60-70%, and students with low characteristics of these qualities - barely 10-15%.

The highest rates of assimilation are achieved in conditions of a threefold increase in the EOM. This time is just enough to carefully read the text once, then read it again, highlighting key concepts and connections between them, then skim through the material a third time, making a memory map.

The empirical formula for calculating the optimal time is derived:

T opt = T Mnv + K T mnv,

where T opt - the optimal duration of training; T mnv - the minimum time required; K is the learning factor for different groups of schoolchildren. For the weak K = 1.6-1.9; for medium K - 1,3-1,5; for strong K - 1,1-1,2.

To optimize the time, it is sufficient to know the EOM index. It is easy to obtain by conducting a controlled reading of the text by a group of schoolchildren, and then averaging the result.

Now you understand the procedure for listing the indices T mnv, and T wholesale, which are listed at the beginning of each chapter our textbook for the correct organization of independent work. The optimal time is set taking into account the volume and difficulty of the training material. The indices reflect the average statistical indicators of the timekeeping of group independent work on textbook study.

The product-causing cause is an arbitrarily small but necessarily separate cause, the further dismemberment of which into component parts is impossible without loss of meaning.

4

All causes have the same effect on the productivity of education

A factor is a significant cause, formed from at least two product-induced causes of one group

All the factors influence the productivity of the educational process simultaneously

The number of product-related causes can not be counted

11

General Factor educational material contains the common causes of information origin

12

General factor & "organizational and pedagogical influence unites a large group of product-related causes that characterize the activity of teachers, qualitative levels of the organization of the educational process, the conditions of educational and pedagogical work

13

The third general factor is the "learning, learner learning" - is the ability (suitability) of schoolchildren for teaching and upbringing, the ability to achieve their projected results at a set time

14

The fourth general factor is the "time". It can distinguish: 1) the time spent directly in the lesson and 2) the time spent on self-training (self-study, self-education)

The hierarchy of factors is their location in the common system

16

The hierarchy of factors can only be used by theorists

17

The product of education is determined to the greatest extent by the force that acted more strongly

18

The objective factors of upbringing are those that do not depend on the pupil

Minor causes, the attendant factors often disappear by themselves after eliminating the main

The law of a minimum; the productivity of the educational process is determined by the minimum factor

It is necessary to carefully diagnose the qualities necessary for successful training, to establish which of them are formed worse than others, and then bring them to the proper level

Theoretically purified conclusions are of little use for improving practical editing

23

If we correctly identified the factors and correctly took into account their action, then the result of the process predicted on the basis of their influence will correspond to reality. This is the basis for predicting the products of the pedagogical process
