The concept and essence of the process of social development of the personality

The concept of development Is the process of quantitative and qualitative changes in the human body. The result of development is the emergence of man as a biological species and as a social being. Biological in man is characterized by physical development, which includes morphological, biochemical, physiological changes, and social development finds expression in mental, spiritual, intellectual growth.

Human development is a very complex, lengthy and contradictory process. Changes in our body occur throughout life, but especially the physical data and the spiritual world of a person in childhood and adolescence are changing intensely. Development is not reduced to a simple accumulation of quantitative changes and a straight forward movement from the lower to the higher. A characteristic feature of this process is the dialectical transition of quantitative changes to qualitative transformations of the physical, mental and spiritual characteristics of the personality.

Under the development of personality, according to IF Kharlamov, one should understand the interrelated process of quantitative and qualitative changes that occur in the anatomical and physiological maturation of a person, in the improvement of his nervous system and psyche, as well as his cognitive and creative activity, in enriching his world outlook, morality, socio-political views and beliefs.

The concept of the process comes from the lat. processus - passing, promotion. In the scientific literature it is understood as a successive change of states, a close connection of successive stages of development that represent a continuous unified movement.

In modern pedagogical literature there is the concept of "social development process". However, there is no single approach to understanding its essence.

The most typical are the approaches of teachers (VA Slastenin, TA Stefaiovskaya, PF Kangerev) to the process of personality development through the prism of pedagogical interaction: a) a specially organized, purposeful interaction of teachers and pupils to solve developmental problems and educational tasks; b) a set of successive actions of the teacher and student (educator and pupil) with the purpose of education, development and formation of the personality of the latter.

Expression pedagogical process introduced and disclosed its essence and content in the work of Π. F. Kaptereva Pedagogical process in 1904

Under the pedagogical process, he understood the "comprehensive improvement of the personality on the basis of its organic self-development and in proportion to the forces according to the social ideal" and distinguished the internal and external pedagogical process.

The internal pedagogical process, according to Π. F. Kaptereva, is a "self-development process of a person, determined by the properties of the organism and environment. The process will be carried out with the need: the body, according to the laws inherent to it, will revive and rework impressions, under their influence - to act. The whole process will be of an original creative character, carried out according to organic necessity, and not by instructions from the side ".

The internal pedagogical process can reflect the general picture of a person's development; the originality of the development of a person belonging to a typical group; development, training and education of a particular person.

External pedagogical ( educational ) process, according to Π. F. Kaptereva, represents the transfer of the "older generation to the younger what the older generation owns, what it acquired itself, has experienced, survived and what has been prepared from its ancestors, from earlier generations. And since all the most valuable acquisitions of humanity, formerly living and now living, are united in one word "culture", then the educational process from the outside can be understood as a transmitter of culture from the older generation to the younger, from the formerly living humanity to the now living. " This approach to understanding the external pedagogical process in broad terms reflects the general trend of development of any society and carries a social and pedagogical content. Between the internal and external pedagogical processes relating to a particular person, there is a close relationship and interdependence, representing the integral nature of the process of social development of the individual.

The social development process is the interaction of the social environment and the individual, aimed at developing his social abilities to solve socialization problems with social pedagogical means in special or natural conditions of the society. It, of course, bears in itself pedagogical (educational) opportunities, realizes them in accordance with the level of their social needs and social abilities, at their discretion.

His goal with respect to an individual is directed influence, support, motivation, help, allowing him (this person) to solve his socialization problem.

It also manifests the internal and external components in their interconnection and interdependence. The foregoing allows us to define the process of social development as a consistent, regular, qualitative change in the corresponding social and pedagogical phenomenon (socialization of a person, social qualities of the personality, etc.). It is characterized by an expedient sequence of actions, reflecting the essence of social and pedagogical activity, interaction with the social environment, ensuring the achievement of a specific goal of social development.

Thus, social development is a unity and interdependence of internal and external pedagogical processes. At the same time, the external process is strictly consistent with the internal (its needs, opportunities, dynamics of change) and ensures its most expedient development. He performs the most important role - the most optimal and most complete implementation of the pedagogical potential of the society.

The system-forming factor of social development is its goal (social ideal), conditioned by appropriate social and pedagogical activity.
