Toolkit for diagnosing patients with a clinical psychologist

Structural components of the internal picture of the disease

How different are the approaches to the problem of the internal picture of the disease (WKB), so are the various criteria that characterize it, and the methods by which they are measured. TN Reznikova isolated the following structural components of the WKB.

1. Model of leading symptoms.

2. Model of the disease.

3. The forecast model.

4. The model of expected and obtained results of treatment.

5. Individual programs and goals for the disease.

6. Family relationships.

7. Value orientations.

8. Settings.

For their evaluation, it uses the following methods and techniques: observation, conversation, questioning, tests, double (LS Muchnik, VM Smirnov, 1969); Correction test (rings) (L. L. Genkin et al, 1963); Krepelin's test, the "Anxiety Scale" (Taylor, 1957); adapted version of MMP1 (FB Berezin et al., 1976).

Considering the attitude to his defect in the patient and his environment (on the stuttering model), AB Havin suggests using the following methods and techniques in his study: Rosenzweig test, 1 , method "Unfinished sentences", Eysenck's questionnaire (the degree of neuroticism), the methodology for determining self-esteem (AV Petrovsky, 1972), "The level of claims" (the technique of F. Hopie), the methodology for the study of self-esteem Dembo-Rubinstein (Rubinstein, 1970), sociometry.

Analysis of empirical studies has shown that a special role in the study is played by methods of observation, questioning and questioning. Questioning and questioning can have both an anamnestic plan (TA Dobrovolskaya) and a social and psychological questionnaire plan (TN Reznikova). Anamnestic questionnaires contain questions related to the autobiographical data of the patient and his awareness of his illness over time. Actually, collecting anamnestic information is one of the most important methods.

There is a standard set of basic psychodiagnostic examinations. Each practical psychologist chooses for himself the most developed and, from his point of view, effective methods. It is advisable to apply several methods to investigate the same process. For example, to study the memory of a teenager, you can use the techniques "Memory", "Memory for numbers", "Memory for images", "Learning 10 words", and for older people it is more efficient to use "Veksler memory scales", Learning 10 words & quot ;; to study the attention of older people - "Schulte's Tables", and for younger ones - the alphabetic version of the "Correction test".

Selection of techniques that will be used by a clinical psychologist, it is necessary to carry out after a careful study of the patient's medical record and conversation with the patient himself, when a psychological anamnesis of one hundred illnesses and vital activity is being collected. Particular attention should be paid to the records of a neurologist. It is his conclusions that will help the clinical psychologist to choose the necessary techniques, and not to bring down the battery of tests on the patient.

When selecting a psychodiagnostic toolkit, one should take into account the fact that the results of the interpretation should contain sufficient information for the clinical psychologist and at the same time should not be cumbersome and time-consuming.

Before starting the examination, an orientation conversation should be conducted aimed at identifying the patient's ability to adequately navigate the surrounding reality, his past and present, the past and the present of society. This will be helped by questions from the Wexler Memory Scheme method.

This chapter describes the most tested, validated and convenient methods for conducting clinical and psychological research.
